KAIST MMPC (Mobile Media Platform Center)는 한국과학기술원과 Texas Instruments가 모바일 미디어 분야에 세계적 기술 리더의 비전을 가지고 설립한 연구센터임

Vision: Our vision is to grow as a world-class R&D business center who provides cutting-edge technical solutions to the mobile industry, where fresh engineers, highly experienced engineers who forecast and design value systems, and marketing people who have deep insight and positive view on new technologies.

Mission: Our mission is 1) to develop and provide the core solutions of the mobile multimedia platform for various applications to the market, and 2) to make a technology channel between industry and university like KAIST, so that the market and industry needs and innovative technologies  flow along from industry to KAIST and vice versa. We will do transform the information and technology to be readable        and to be applied to the R&D activities by each party directly.

R&D Area: Our area of R&D does not confined and limited to any specific area. The R&D area will be adjusted and corrected reflecting the market needs and forecast. Currently, R&D area of interest are focused on the mobile TV, multimedia  engines( A/V codec and camera ISP), and mobile WiMAX.needs and forecast.
